worst Toyota dealership I had ever seen. I live near by but I brought my Carmy in north shore 3 year ago. I went in to-day to check out the Highlander hope maybe they had change. I met really rude sale reps. He just seen like he doesn't care for bussiness .

I would at all costs avoid this dealership. Two colleagues and I all had similar experiences: they try to intimidate you so that they can rip you off. This is true for both buying and servicing a Toyota.

Do not even THINK of buying a car at this dealership.

On 6/21/08 I entered into an agreement to purchase a Camry Hybrid. As per the "Vehicle Purchase Agreement", the estimated delivery date for this car to be delivered was 6/29/08. In the days and weeks that followed 6/29, I followed up w/ the dealer to get a status. On different occasions I was told that the car was stuck in a port, accidentally sent to PA, lost, or stolen. In the interim, the dealer offered to supply me with a loaner vehicle. Little did I know at the time, this was nothing more than a ploy of theirs.

After 2 months of waiting and with no significant feedback from the dealer, I decided to shop around for a different vehicle. I wound up purchasing a different car at another Toyota dealership. Immediately, I visted Atlantic Toyota and informed them in writing that I was canceling my order and to refund my $1,000 deposit. This cancellation request was done within contractual terms, as it specifically states that a consumer can cancel within 30 after the estimated delivery date if the delay is not attributable to you.

Not only did they not refund my deposit, the slimy General Manager proceeded to tell me that I need to cover his cost of the loaner vehicle and that he would be charging my credit card an additional $300. He obviously never went to business or charm school, as I have NEVER been spoken to by a merchant in the disgusting manner in which he spoke to me. He even threatened to sue me for $300 (an empty threat). He had his lawyer send me a threatening letter in an attempt to make me buckle. Luckily, my $1,000 deposit was paid via credit card. I disputed this charge, and it turned out in my favor.

From day 1 when they tried to sell me someone else's car if I offered more $$$, this was my worst experience as a consumer. Do yourself a BIG favor and take your business to one of the many other Toyota dealerships in the area. Atlantic Toyota should be ashamed of their business practices.
