Ralph's Pizza

The owners of this establishment are nasty people. When I was moving to Bayville in March 2006, my wife and 2 children (2 and 4) went to meet the realtor at the house we were buying, They were coming from NJ in one car and I was coming in a separate car from NJ. The kids were starving so my wife pulled into Ralph's to grab a quick bite and get the kids taken care of so that they would be able to hang around while waiting for home inspectors. etc. My wife ordered 3 plain slices and a soft drink. When she looked into her purse she realized she had no cash in her wallet. Not a problem, I was on the LIE and would be there in 20 minutes and could bring the cash then. My wife offered to leave her driver's license and have them give it to me when I got there to pay. (Who is going to leave their driver's license and not come back to get it, right?) The cost of what she ordered was less than $8.

Boy were we wrong! As soon as she said she did not have cash on her (even after seeing the kids and her offering to leave her license), they pulled the already warmed up pizza off the counter and told her NO. (they put the pizza back behind the counter- probably to be reheated and sold to someone else later.)

The house we moved into is less than 1/2 mile from Ralph's and we drive by it all the time. I will drive anywhere else to get pizza. These are nasty people who have not one ounce of goodness in them. How's the food? I'll never know. And they will never see my money. We eat pizza at least once a week as a family. For the $2 that it would have cost these skinflints to see if my wife would come back for her driver's license, they have lost my future business forever and everyone that will listen to our story,

Forget the food- DON"T DO BUSINESS WITH HEARTLESS, SHORTSIGHTED, NASTY PEOPLE!

Great food, great service: seems like they have been adding alot of items to the menu which is nice to see. They finally have garlic knots which are fantastic.
