We recognize that our pets are family members and we are committed to fostering the human/animal bond. Our Veterinarians Alison G. Rhein, D.V.M. Dr. Ali, as her clients call her, always knew that she wanted to become a veterinarian. Her father, Dr. Harvey Rhein, D.V.M. founded the Dix Hills Animal Hospital in 1967. As a child, Alison loved helping her father at work, assisting him, as he would tend to patients, watching and learning, knowing that she wanted to follow in his footsteps.
