I had to move my disabled, non-communicative, Alzheimer's suffering mother from LI to New Hampshire. I called Choice and they were friendly efficient,they made calls to finalize the plans and they were prompt and efficient. My mother has been scared when riding in any vehicles recently and the aide who went with her said that the driver was positive, played Christmas music and joked around with her and she was not afraid at any time. All in all it was a positive experience for all.

I would strongly recommend against using Choice Medical Transport. I used the service three times from a private residence to a doctor's office. Twice the drivers were unattentive, rushing and careless when putting the wheelchair into and out of the ambulance. Apparently the drivers are trained in securing the wheelchair in place, but do not know how to safely move a person from their vehicle back to the ground/parking lot/driveway. I am a caregiver and would strongly advise against using Choice. It only takes one time to have an accident that alters your loved one's conditions forever. Do not take the chance with Choice. Use Empire State Medicab, Ricar or ask your physician for other alternatives instead.
