My husband & I have been coming to this beautiful restaurant for many years. The food is awesome, service is great. We will be having dinner there on Saturday for my husbands birthday. We love to walk around the village and visit all the stores. We stop at the bread store and bring home some of the best bread and cakes and goodies.
It is a cold, crisp December evening. It is holiday time at the historic Milleridge Inn and the evening is magical. Begin with a tour of the historic Milleridge Village. This recreation of an early colonial village square, complete with a variety of shops including a bakery, candle shop, toy store and more, is beautifully decorated as well. Soon a soft snow begins to fall and a sudden chill overtakes you. Itâs time for dinner and your family heads for the Inn which was built in 1672. An actual working inn made popular by soldiers who visited the area after the American Revolution, you can feel history come alive as you enter. The Inn is exquisitely decorated and carolers move about serenading the dining room. The food it traditional American and prices for complete dinners range from $17 to $25. The childrenâs menu has all of the usual kidâs fare but it also has a prime rib and a turkey dinner as well. The special holiday menu features Christmas goose, Martha Washington leg of lamb, Vermont turkey, honey baked ham, and pork roast. Everything is charming: delectable food, gracious service, and splendid holiday decorations. It makes for a graceful prelude to the holiday season. You will find something to please everyone. It's a gracious old-fashioned place that is warm, inviting, and a comfort in the crazy/busy world of today!
Ready to pull my hair out.: Food...great decor...great Service....Horrible. 2 1/2 hours for dinner with a 3 month old and a 2 1/2 yaer old is unacceptable. I ordered the special...20 min after I should have had my meal, I get the old " they ran out of that". Yet the people in front and back of me, whom came in after us, both got my shrimp but here's the kicker..they charged me for the shrimp instead of the meal I got which happen to be $4 cheaper. The managers didn't seem to care much..our table was right in front of them the whole night and not a visit. Dinner dishes left in front of us for 1/2 an hour, Had to ask for my second soda after an hour or 2 of waiting. I could go on and on. I was formally in the food sevice industry for many years + schooling. Food A+ Service -F Oh and it was a Wednesday night. Not a weekend.
