Wow, I just read a review here and can't believe it.
I have been a regular customer at Old Street for 17 years and have never had an experience anything like that described in the review. I have recommended the place to neighbors and friends and they, without exception, have loved the place. Many have become regulars.
Once in a while I get a waitress who is new and perhaps doesn't know the menu as well as she should but that happens in most restaurants that I frequent.
I find the food at Old Street to be excellent, much better than a typical Pub. The burgers are awesome, the marinated steak sandwiches can't be beat and the marinated steaks are the best I've had outside of an upscale steak house.
In general my waitresses have been very good and pleasant and no I've never asked to speak to a manager.
I would highly recommend this place.

I have never had such an awful experience than I did at this restaurant. I was with a party of 10. Our reservation was for 8:45 which we sat down around 8:50. Our waitress did not come to take our drink for at least 15 minutes. We placed our drink order along with our food order. It took the drinks around 15 - 20 minutes which we were then told that they had run out of Sam Adams. At this time, we have been waiting around a half hour for our soups and no one had come to our table to even check on us. Apparently, they ran out of soup but neglected to tell us that and kept us waiting. Finally, when they brough the soup only half the party received their soup. The rest of the soup came out 10 minutes later. The entrees were brought to us at 10:30pm. By then, everyone at the party was irritated and asked to see the manager. The manager did not come to the table for at least 15 minutes. When she did arrive, she had an attitude and was completely unprofessional. We were accused of lying and of being intoxicated. Which if they checked the bill no one could be drunk off of two drink within a two hour period. It was not until the waitress verified that we were waiting for two hours that they gave us 20%off the bill. I have never been treated so discrepectfully at a restaurant from management.

Needless to say..

The service was less than poor and the management was down right nasty and incomprehensible.

I would rather starve than visit this establishment ever again! I suggest finding a more professional and service oriented restaurant.
