At my grandaughters request (she's three) I decided to give this place another try. First visit was very bad. Soggy ,watery pasta etc. This time I asked for whole wheat pasta with my meal as I thought it might be firmer even if they overcooked it. I also only use this at home. Well I received regular pasta. The waitress offered to bring another meal, but I am with a three year old. How long can she sit and wait? Her meal was on a very small dish with the pasta falling off it. You could not even cut the meatballs without piping hot pasta falling off the dish. The water guy comes around every 30 seconds to ask if you want more water, even though there is a full pitcher on the table. Like having a Stepford person. The staff is fairly pleasent. Food presentation is what you get in a pizza place. The food is just plain bad. My wife's dinner salad was very bland. The dinner rolls are floating in butter and taste like they are day old. Don't waste your time. Italian food has to be good to eat out. It is so easy to make it good at home.
Food is Great, Service is good, prices are decent for what you get.
The foods not bad and the place is definitely not your typical pizzeria. It has that rigorous Manhattan look to it. In other words it is more of a glorified pizzeria.Overall the staff is pretty welcoming however whats up with the guy behind the counter calling you babe? I mean to be friendly is wonderful but i am not your buddy. Your in a professional environment so you should act professional. I mean I am 40 year old man for crying out loud I don't need a pizza boy calling me babe or my wife for that matter! Also everything should not be garnished with parsley especially if there is no parsley in the dish itself, every good chef knows that. I mean it looks nice but it is not the proper way. If you are going to garnish every dish with parsley at least garnish it correctly; it should not be all over the plate. The proper way to garnish it would be on the food itself, the rim of the plate should always be clean! Such an elementary blunder.Your presentation as a professional restaurant is superb however you do not portray that as proved from the novice mistakes such as that of the parsley. This really makes me think who is preparing the food in the kitchen because we know that it is definitely not a chef. If you present yourself as the respectable restaurant as you do, then you should back it up. At minimal please learn the basics! Overall the restaurant is suitable for the "Average Joe" but if you are a real food enthusiast then I certainly would not recommend Caffe Amici. It appears to be a real restaurant but looks can be deceiving.

+1 on the chef. Must be kids in the kitchen!
