User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI wouldn't take my pet here again. They recommend surgery way too easily and charge a lot of money for it. My dog ended up in the emergency room 3 times after surgery (additional bill each time) without being tended to by full fledged vets who could properly assess his condition. After questioning the medication (prednisone) because it was causing constant urination, it took 3 days to get a response from a qualified surgeon. Each time I tried to call, the receptionist told me he was in "brain surgery" and my phone call wasn't returned until I became adamant. Then they try and dismiss you as if your too attached to your pet. Most of the surgery staff that I dealt with was arrogant as well as the front office.

I was extremely dissatisfied with this facility. I truly believe they are soley interested in $$$$ first. I spent over $3100 for surgury and am still not convinced that is was necessary. I cannot get the doctor, Dr. Marino to return my calls. I saw him on the first visit only, and then never saw nor heard from him again. My dog also came home with fleas twice. They also sedated my dog against my request... I could write a book about my experience.
I would love to contact others to help them avoid the frustration I have experienced. 
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMy dog is regular paitent at this hosp...so many times been there for so many issues.....Dr. Tumulty (internal med) is a great and educated DVM. The chair person Dr. marino(surgeon) not so honest after all and sadly i have a hard time trusting him in his diagnostics several times and last yr he Extracted 5 of my dog's teeths and he ended up with nasal & eye infection since they were not gentle pulling the teeths and it ended up damaging his nerves!!!! BUT the ER is fast and the optomolegist also great.

This ER may be good for emergencies but I had a HORRIBLE boarding experience. My dog came home starving and when I asked if any food was left they said "no". Who knows what they were feeding my dog after the food ran out (which shouldn't have)

I want to thank Dori, Fran, Just Me and You (Debbie) for your review. My (cat's) personal Vet gave me a referral to LI Vet for an MRI. My cat is not using his back leg and they say it's a neuro problem/blood clot/tumor on spine and/or something with his brain. An MRI would figure it out. I called the facility to inquire about the proceedure and costs ($136 just to speak with a Dr)and was given vague answers followed by someone will call you back to discuss this. Needless to say no one has called back. Based on her insensitivity, lack of professionalism and all the reviews, I will NOT go to this place. Thank you
