User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBest Marinara Pizza on Long Island: When you first drive up to John's Pizza, it does not look like anything special. Inside the bright pink building, however, everything and everyone is special. We tried the shrimp marinara pizza on the advice of the gentleman making the pies. What a fantastic taste treat! My kids were as crazy about it as we adults were.
All their pizzas that we have tried over the years are great, but the marinara is the one that won in the "Best on Long Island" contest.
Next time you go to Smith Point, take their number in your cell phone. Give them a call on the way off the beach, and have a delicious pizza waiting for you. (That's what we do.)
Take out or dine in. There is a small dining room in the back of the restaurant, but most of the locals can be found sitting at the small tables up front, conversing with the very friendly staff and other customers alike. In warm weather, there are also tables out front.

When I went in there were roaches on the walks I never went back !
The walks would be outside, wouldn't they? Bugs out in the open air does not mean they are in your house, or in any restaurant.
Just wanted to say you all have the best pizza in new york , my son and his friend fell in love with your pizza so much that they ate dinner there every night for a week that they stayed in mastic beach with the mother. and they are lookingforward to comming bacy up up this summer for a visit , so they will be visiting you all again there too. and yes you all do have the greatest pizza there , keep up the good work......and may god bless you all there.....
