This is a review for the their Service department only.
1. I have had a sensor in the car blow 4 times. The first 3 times I went to Rensselaer Honda. The reason those 3 replacements blew is because these people didn't follow the service bulletin and attached it wrong. This has cost me 1.5-2K in repairs.
2. They sent me a free coupon for car wash and wax. When I went there for it, they tried hard to convince me that I couldnt use the coupon at all (there was absolutely nothing wrong with it). When I didnt give up, they said okay, took my car away, dumped water on it and got it back (within 5 minutes) -- the car didnt look any cleaner, and there certainly was no waxing done. By then I was too frustrated so I left.
For a dealership, this has to be by far the worst auto service I have ever encountered. Donuts and coffee in the waiting room DOES NOT make up for horrendous service.

I was sorry to hear about your recent experience with the service department and I do not work there at the Honda dealership. I just bought a pre-owned car there and was very impressed by the sales department staying far past closing time to make sure that I received the attention I needed to replace my old clunker. Adam and Summer (who I keep calling Sunshine) took me through the entire sales process with professionalism and simplicity to understand what I was buying and why I could not have what I wanted. A lap top table next to the driver like the police cars have when they are checking out your credentials. Perhaps, you hit the wrong service person on that day, or, your expectations were a bit to high for a 'free' car wash. Many times, some dealers will use those incentives for the purpose of marketing a car to customers who they hope will stop by the show room and start asking questions about a new car. Give the sales department a chance to work on their service department and see if they can fix the problem with their car wash machine. Good luck.
No he's absolutely right. I'd gotten a letter in the mail stating a part had been recalled and i went in and they told me that they had to order the part and it'd be in their dealership within the next 2 days. This was an important part of the air bag deployer, as in if mine happened to be faulty it could have sent the air bag deploying in the case of an accident with sharp shards of metal shooting through my person at the speeds of a bullet. Okay figuring that i'd get a call about the part in two days i did not and it took a week and a half because i work almost all week and the day i have off is the day the service department isn't open. I had to call them and remind them that they had ordered the part. That i thought was ridiculous... sometimes they do great work and other times they are terrible.
