This place should be so much better. The atmosphere and energy are right on, but after repeat visits, it's clear - something is missing - Quality. Bombers prides itself on being a landmark. Service, food presentation, and the 'bargain factor' are all lacking. I don't mind paying a fortune for good food, but when it's slapped on a plate and presented by a scowlling waitperson, it frustrates me. Parking and long lines are inevitable (and not the fault of Bombers). Overpriced "cheap eats," lack of quality in the top shelf drinks, and the indifferent 'cooler than you' attitude staff just erase the bohemian feel of this landmark.
Never had a problem with Bombers....I lived here for about 6 years now and I love their Tequila Wings, Disco Fries and Mini Tacos. As far as the burrito....yeah i've had better. The staff there were excellent, and although they had messed up an order of mines a couple of times that i've been there, they have given me an extra order for free! It was nice of them to do so! It's a real chilled place and i would recommend it despite the negative things that were posted.
I don't get the hype. I was NOT impressed with this place at all. Sure, the backstory of how it started is interesting, but it's not worth the hassle of trying to find parking, dealing with very rude staff, and picking your way through the edible parts of a burrito. The only thing that is pretty good there are the sweet potato fries, but consider yourself lucky if they're not soggy.
