Mr Russell, the owner and operator, is horrible. I won't be putting a dime of mine in his pocket. I stopped in since Saugerties Furniture is a local business. I have not been treated so rudely as a customer in... well, probably in my entire life. I asked two questions: 1) Was the sample a king or queen size…he belittled my not knowing by just looking at it (sometimes it is hard to be sure when a floor sample) 2) Whether the price was firm or had room for negotiation. He was snide, rude and condescending. I have told several neighbors and other local residents about my experience and EVERY ONE OF THEM has had a similar experience with Saugerties Furniture at some point. If they aren’t interested in selling furniture to customers, why are they there???? Give my business to such a rude family owned business…. No thank you!
