I have the pleasure of dining here about once a week, absolutely delicious Indian food, excellent atmosphere, great service and a family friendly restaurant. When i come to tanjore, its giving me the same feeling that i was in India for 6 months.Don't miss the lunch buffet here, bcoz its so delicious and you will find some new dishes whenever you come. I always find it to be one of the most consistant and gorgeous Indian restaurant in NY
Absolutely the Very Best Indian Cuisine in this Local area and It would compete nicely in NYC. We would Go there every time !!! My husband is from England ( where Indian cuisine is extremely popular) and He says it is the very best Indian Food he has EVER had! I have to say... I truly agree.
If your looking for a great place for an intimate dinner for two or for a gathering of family and friends.. Your bound to Love agra Tandoor too. Yummy!
Very good food: I was in the mood for Indian food, and the food here was very good. Somewhat off the beaten path, on a lonely stretch of Route 9 just south of Rhinebeck, the ambiance and the service were good, but it's the food that will bring me back. All of the dishes we had were really well done, and -- once again -- we ordered too much food. No problem, it came home with us and was just as good the next day. Bring your own beer (the people next to us brought wine, but this can't go well with this cuisine, can it?). There aren't many Indian restaurants in northern Ulster or Dutchess counties, but I didn't have the feeling that I was stuck with the best of slim pickens. This place would be worth going to if it were in Jackson Heights surrounded by other Indian restaurants.

"This place would be worth going to if it were in Jackson Heights." Beautifully put. It's even truer on buffet days.
