Village Pizza. We've now been here about a dozen times, over the past year or so. I can't think of a single time it wasn't absolutely excellent. Pizza great, the chicken parm at $11 with a salad and rolls is a good deal. Very consistent. Great product and outstanding service. Highly recommended.
best pizza north of Arthur Avenue, owner is an old Bronx guy and it show in his friendly yet courtly manner (voice like the marlboro man), pizza is NYC style to perfection, no trendy deep dishy type thingy, just good old neighborhood pizza, if your old neighborhood happens to be in the 5 boroughs, highest recomendation
Isn't it a good thing that they're usually busy? That means the food is appreciated by locals. Village pizza is a family restaurant, and it's nice to see all the people that come regularly. Village isn't all about pizza either. The pasta dishes are amazing, especially their baked ziti, penne ala vodka and linguini with clam sauce. The pizza is the best I've ever had. I know people have different preferences on how they like their pizza cooked but they cook it perfectly to my likings. Anyone that likes a light full crust can't go wrong with single slices and if you want a whole pizza you can order it however you like: thin crust, thick crust, crispy or light cooked. All the toppings are fresh and the cheese and sauce are grated/made daily. Village Pizza of Rhinebeck is most definately my favorite restaurant, unique for it's lack of chain store qualities. They remember who you are and what your usuals are. Village has a great old fashion sense to it that is hard to find now-a-days.
