WELL, ITS HARD TO EVEN WRITE ABOUT. MY HUSBAND, MYSELF, AND MY SON WENT TO LIBERTY DINER ON SUNDAY. WE ALL ORDERED THE NUMBER 5 BREAKFAST SPECIAL, SCRAMBLED EGGS, SAUSAGE, HOME FRIES, TOAST, JUICE AND COFFEE. WELL, OUR EGGS CAME SCRAMBLED, BUT THEY (MEANING ALL THREE PLATTERS) HAD GREEN HAIRY FUNGUS THROUGHOUT THE SCRAMBLED EGGS. I STOPPED MY SON AND HUSBAND FROM EATING, THE MINUTE I SEEN IT. WE BROKE UP ALL THE EGGS AND IT WAS THROUGHOUT. I TOLD THE WAITER, DAVE, AND HIM AND ANGELICA, ANOTHER NICE WAITRESS, BOTH GAVE A REALLY GROSS LOOK. LIKE "WHAT IS THAT". THEN THEY WENT AWAY AND TOLD THE COOK AND MANAGER. THEY CAME BACK AFTER TALKING TO THE MANAGER AND TOLD US THAT "THE COOK HAD JUST MADE BLUEBERRY PANCAKES AND THAT IS WHY THERE IS GREEN FUNGUS IN THE EGGS". THIS LOOKED NOTHING LIKE BLUEBERRY AND THE EGGS WERE TANGY. THEY BOUGHT US OVER ANOTHER PLATE AND THE EGGS STILL TASTED BAD. I GOT SICK. I WAS SICK FOR CLOSE TO 48 HOURS NOW. I DON'T THINK I SHOULD GO BACK OVER THERE. AND WE HAD TO PAY FOR THE FOOD. IT GETS ME NAUTIOUS JUST THINKING ABOUT IT. I WILL NOT GO THERE EVER AGAIN. HOW CAN THEY SERVE FOOD LIKE THAT. THE MANAGER,BOSS, NICK SHOULD KEEP AN EYE ON HOW FOOD IS STORED AND I WISH I KNEW WHO I COULD CONTACT ABOUT THIS.

I've been twice. Once three years ago and it was great. Again most recently in June of '09. It is under new ownership and it was awful. I ordered a fish sandwich that had a truly odd taste and a soup that was so salty that I couldn't eat it. My friend had a french dip sandwich. The Au Jus dip was pure salt, the sandwich alternated between grizzle and burned, and the fries were double fried because they had gone cold before being served.

This treasure of a meal took us an hour to receive (and we were practically the only ones in the restuarant).

The managment was nasty when we complained but we did get the meal for free.

Good luck to the new owners but they need to either fire or retrain their whole staff.
