Company Information: Brooklyn Attitude Hair & Body is proud to announce that their salon has been voted one of the Top 100 Hot Salons in America by Salon City magazine, April 2008. A compilation of top-notch salons including New York City's Warren Tricomi, Frederic Fekkai, Garren and John Sahag are also listed in the 1st Anniversary Issue which can be found in news stands and bookstores across the USA and in over 30 Countries. The voting was based on the popularity within their city, peer recognition within the salon industry, the expertise of trained stylists who are devoted to bringing out the best in you and your hair. And, of course, it's the star talent who know how to make you look, and feel like a star. I did severe damage to my hair. After a year, I still was recovering from the damage. My hair was still very dry and the cutting I did every month myself was horrid. I really didn't expect much good to come from going to a professional (since I moved back to NY from TN 10 yrs ago, I haven't been overly impressed with anyone I tried to see professionally in NY), however, my hair simply couldn't get worse than I what I had done to it already. I wish MaryAnn had taken a before and after picture. She did an awesome job. I highly recommend Brooklyn Attitude and MaryAnn. This place is a true professional hair salon. Cynthia Erno
The wait may have been lengthy, but I got a great haircut and a reasonable price. The guy who cut my hair and I even got to talk hot stove baseball that day!
My sister went here recently to get her hair styled for an event. Granted the day was muggy (no rain though), her hair fell flat literally within 15 minutes of having it styled! She paid $40 (plus tip) and when she called to complain, they didn't care at all. The stylist, a man, told her she should have come back to have it re-curled. The thing is, she was attending an event immediately after and didn't have time to go back! He should have done it right the first time.
Neither of us have super high expectations for salons, but this one completely failed to deliver. Perhaps they are better with cuts and color, but her and I would never go here again. The $40 price tag for a wash and style is pretty ridiculous too.

You write "Neither of us have super high expectations for salons" you made the point yourself you are clueless about going to a real salon.
