Great breakfast spot. Hearty portions, freshly made. Great Adirondack posters to decorate the place, and area artists who are selling their stuff.
Really robust coffee to start the day, generous omelets. Have had a decent lunch here as well, with the daily special of BBQ pulled pork sandwich.
A good, central location to meet up in the beautiful town of Schroon Lake. But to be honest, this is the place I choose mainly for breakfast. If De Cesare's is open for lunch or dinner, I prefer to go there.
A Little Taste of Texas: You wouldn't think you could find great Texas BBQ in a small town in the Adirondack's but you can! My wife and I stopped for dinner one night while visiting the area and enjoyed it so much that we came back for lunch the next day. We sampled both the ribs and the BBQ beef brisket and they were fantastic. The meat on the ribs fell off the bones and the beef was so tender it seemed like it melted in your mouth. I should add that both the ribs and beef came with a great homemade BBQ sauce which they also sell by the pint. The desserts are a specialty of the owner and were wonderful. We tried the blackberry cobbler (twice), the bread pudding, and the chocolate mousse cake and they were fabulous. My wife and I really enjoyed the relaxed, family atmosphere of the restaurant and we will definitely be back again when in the area.
Great BBQ: The BBQ is wonderful and the deserts are to die for!
