Mother's Restaurant

Very Bad Meal! And no one asked....I was a regualar visitor at Mother's, back in the days when mother checked to see if your meal was satisfactory. My meal there on 5/10/09 was nearly inedible. first, the menu was so limited, ended up ordering the italian feast so could have eggplant which I love. this eggplant was inedible....dry, overcooked, so heavily overspiced the taste was terrible. I will say the meatball was good, as was the spaghetti sauce...sadly you couldnt order spaghetti and meatballs..the waitress boxed the entire meal, and never asked if food was ok...the one bright spot of the meal, was the homemade pies. They were outstanding. Too bad the person who makes the pies didnt cook my meal..

It's been well over 20 years since I've been to Mother's Restaurant. The food was EXCELLENT then... so good that when someone asked me my favorite Italian restaurant, I told them about Mother's. They didn't think it existed, so I had to prove it and I'm glad to see it is still around. If, for some unknown reason, I am ever forced to go to Syracuse, I'll definitely go to Mother's!!

This is in response to the review above regarding a big black hair on your pancakes. This restaurant does not serve pancakes as it is not open for breakfast. Obviously, you have a lot of time on your hands if you go around trying to make good places look bad. Mother's has excellent food! P.S. None of the cooks have black hair either.
