Cant wait to eat here again.: The food was marvelous. Really I dont know where to begin with how wonderful each course was. In regards to the service issues mentiond here. The staff was professional and courteous and very efficient, perhaps they were not warm but certainly not cold in any way either. Lets say you weren't about to add them to your Christmas card list but they were there to serve you wonderful food and they did that indeed.

I Couldn't Agree More: You are so right about the staff. I thought a fancy french restaurant would have the highest level of service. Boy was I wrong. The food on the other hand was terrific. If it is in season try the Carrot Soup.. it was yummy. More like a squash soup in consistancy and taste. And the cheese tray was terrific as well. But the main courses were forgettable. If you've got a lot of extra money lieing around the house and you like being snubbed by wait staff.. this is your place!

The French bistro experience: Having eaten in quite a few bistros all over France, my hopes for L'Adour were high. It has the elements of the real thing, but sadly falls short in two critical areas: food and service.

Maybe the service IS authentic - the wait staff tends to be aloof, cool, uninterested in your well-being - just like in Paris. But the food is often not what it states on the menus, and substitutions are not as desirable as what was ordered.

When it's possible to sit outside on a warm summer evening you can almost succeed in convincing yourself that this is not City Hall next door, but a castle in the Loire Valley...
