I went there last night for the first time, also tried Jaunitas when it was on court street (pretty good). But the food at Alto was amazing! We had about a half hour wait beacuse the dinning room has only a handful of tables and they were packed! I had no problem as we ordered a couple drinks at the bar, which by the way...try the sangria...just do it. You can thank me later! Ordered the vegan Inferno burrito, awesome. My buddy got the chicken tacos which were a little...different. Service was mediocre at best, but I'm blaming on the fact it was so busy on a Wednesday night. Will most definately be going back again!

good food- not great service. Had a big lunch to provide w/ vegans to feed. they wanted Alto, the person on the phone seemed very bothered by my large order, but made sure to tell me about the 18% that would be added on my bill for grat. and I still had to pick up.

I was not impressed with this place at all. My husband and I are from Texas and have a hard time finding Mexican food that even comes close to home. We went here because of the reviews on Yahoo but we thought is was not good. There was no seating, we paid $5.50 for a small basket of chips and mediocre salsa. The chili rellanos were aweful and it is hard to mess those up. I don't think the prices were very good either. $8 for quesadillas that don't even come with rice and beans. I don't think we will try it again. We were told by someone else to try Juanitas, we should have listened.
