I have since moved away and make China Road an absolute MUST on my list of places to go to when I am visiting.
The manager and his wife are so nice and even remember you if they see your face there a few times.
They remembered me even though I hadn't been there in a year and a half!
Furthermore, their vegetarian/vegan menu is AWESOME! They have THE BEST fake "meats". I have yet to find a place that rivals their selection.
The wait staff is always so personable and willing to help.
China Road is a MUST for vegetarians/vegans and meat eaters alike!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsIf you are looking for AUTHENTIC Chinese food, this is THE place to go. This is definitely not your local strip mall cuisine, so your palate will be rewarded by showing some bravery and ordering something other than Sweet & Sour Chicken (although the s&s chicken is excellent as well). Simon and Jenny (the owners) are extremely friendly and personable, and the Waitstaff is professional, courteous, and friendly.
Some of my personal favorites are: Spicy Vegetable Dumplings, Szechuan Beef Noodle Soup, Whole Crispy Fish, and Sauteed Pea Greens. There's an item I tried the other night at dinner called "5AM Beef"... I don't believe it is even on the menu (in english anyway), but it was absolutely DELICIOUS!
