Zebb's Deluxe Grill & Bar

A group of us visited Zebb’s last Sunday afternoon in search of a late lunch before going bowling. We were seated quickly - the restaurant was comfortably cool and was busy but not overly so. Our waiter was very attentive during the entire visit and frequently came by to check on us and refill drinks.

The food here is strictly ’bar and grill’ - nothing pretentious. I went with a 1/3-pound burger platter with fries, which is Zebb’s specialty. The burger was perfectly cooked and tasty, with a slice of cheddar on top, but the bun was the best part - it appeared to have been freshly baked and was excellent. The fries were decent although a bit greasy. Zebb’s offers a free toppings bar with the basics - tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, various peppers, and these ingredients were fresh. Other topping such a mushrooms were available at an additional charge. My son ordered a burger platter with mushrooms and enjoyed it very much.

My wife had a side salad that was merely OK and ordered a plate of garlic chicken wings as an entrée. The wings were very good - nice and crispy with a tangy garlic sauce on top, and we finished the entire platter. We were pretty full afterwards so we skipped dessert, although if I had room I’d have order a box of their fresh chocolate chop cookies.

All in all, a very good experience - my wife plans to go there on her next ‘girl‘s night out‘ with friends. I definitely recommend a visit.

Service was slow, manager was clearing tables. Burger and bun excellent. Fries a pile of grease. The person at the table next to me could have bumped elbows with me. Very noisy. Not somewhere I would go again.

The service is fine, the food is wretched. It wasn't always this way. the restaurant has good down hill quite a bit in the last couple of years.
