My family and I have been visiting Old Forge every winter for the past 10 years. One of our fav. spots to stop is Walt's Diner. We love Walt's because they are always open and always friendly. You cannot go anywhere and get an omlet like you can there! Its great to sit back and watch the time and effort put into the business by the owners. They are always there and their hard work shows in their food. We love Walts homemade desserts, REAL roasted turkey, chili's and soups! Coffee is always fresh and the prices are great! We love that they are open all year round as well! I speak for the whole family when I say Walt's deserves 5 stars!

Walt's diner used to be great but has gone totally down hill in the last two years.When you go in there the place is filled with disgusting flies. The Only good thing there is Friday Fish Fry, make sure to ask for your fries to be cooked longer though. The last few times I have gone there they have been raw. The rest of the food is good.

Home-Made Food and Excellent Prices: I love Walt's Diner, it's the best place to eat in Old Forge. Big portions, cheap prices, kid-friendly, great service! Try breakfast at Walt's, they have HUGE omelets, the best I've ever tasted! And their Friday Fish Fry is excellent, FRESH Haddock (never frozen like the other places I've eaten in Old Forge) homemade coleslaw, fresh-cut french fries, all for 8.95. Try it! You won't be disappointed.
