Im a regular at LaRoma's Pizzeria, & ive never thought it was too expensive. Some have mentioned that they paid $25 dollars for a pizza! Ive never paid that, there large cheese pizza is like 13 bucks. That person might be confusing that price with there pizza & wing deal which is a large pie & 4lbs of wings now thats $25 bucks. And also everytime I'm there the place is packed. So they must be doing something right. There staff is friendly & i always see the same employees there, so they know me by name. I love there array of nightly specials, i love there veal franco its to die for, & my wife is a fan of Mahi Mahi Francise, & of couse the kids always get the pizza! I dont usually respond to these websites but people that do put comments about local businesses probably should get there facts stright before the slander a business.
Ive been living here since the 80's and can always depend on a great meal in terms of quick Italian food, pizza and wings. The portions are large and fairly priced compared to north Rome prices. I have never received unfriendly service in fact the staff is always very well mannered and attentative. It seems that Jack and Daves comments may have been based on bias towards another extablishment or they are commenting negatively as a joke. I HIGHLY recommend LaRomas Pizzaria for visitors and residents alike.
I live 25 miles from Rome and make it a point to get LaRoma's pizza every time I am in the city. I feel it's by far the best pizza in central NY. Regarding some of the other comments: I agree that their prices are high, however, besides the pizza, their subs are huge (a large La Roma's sub is about 1.5 Subway large subs). I have never dined in, but some comments state that staff can be on the not so friendly side. I disagree with this for the most part, as the place is quite busy, and while they may not be that keen on customer service, by no means have I ever been treated rudely. I give LaRoma's a solid A rating. Don't forget your napkins too, alot of flour on the bottom of the pizza dough.
