    We lived back in the Albany area 42 Years ago, and one of our favorite treats was getting their beans and fish. They had a store on Central Ave. in Albany back then, but I have no idea if it's still there.
    No one out here in Arizona has baked beans like Jean's! Closest thing to it is getting Grandma Brown's Beans by mail order from Mexico, NY.

    Im Syracuse born and Watertown raised and every year that I go back to NY, there is no way that I miss Jeans Beans. The fish is EPIC!! whether you order it as a sandwich or take massive slabs home. the tartar sauce is worth killing for. and with varieties of sides from pasta and potato salad to mac & cheese and the famous beans its always a win whether its quick lunch or dinner for 8+. I have 5 shirts from JB and im planning to get more when I visit again.
    I would advocate going to NY just to go to JB
    its amazing..

    Mark and his crew are incredible! We call Jeans Beans the beanery. If you love fried food every once and while, do not miss Jeans Beans when in Watertown. The fish and chicken are to die for and the salads and hot entrees are wonderful as well. Everything is homemade. Don't forget the tarter sauce. We order this by the bowlful because it's so good!
