User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe Cactus Grill & Cantina is perhaps one of my favorite restaurants. I have been there numerous times and find it is well worth the 45 minute drive to get there. I have never been served a bad meal. The salsa is fabulous and so is their guacamole. The margaritas are terrific too. A great evening out in Potsdam is a trip to the Cantina for dinner, then off to a college hockey game.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMy husband and I like to try new restaurants. A friend of mine told me she had been to the Cactus Grill & Cantina and that she had completely enjoyed it. We drove 40 minutes to get there and our experience was well worth the drive. When we arrived, the parking lot was full and we were worried we would not be able to get a table, however we were seated immediately. The service was excellent, the entire staff very friendly and polite and although the place was packed the staff was very attentive, never missing a single detail. I had read reviews before we went and one suggestion was to know what you are ordering. Since I do not handle very spice foods very well, I chose the Tex-Mex grilled steak. Our food arrived in a timely manner and it was exquisite. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender, juicy and the taste was out of this world. For our side dishes we chose corn bread, potato wedges and the jalapeno and onion strips, all of which were delicious and perfectly cooked. I have read rave reviews about the Margaritas, the reviews were not wrong, they are absolutely heavenly. My only advice on the Margaritas is, if you have to drive be careful, they are potent. Over all it was a wonderful experience, we will definitely go back. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any and all.

I love this place! You cannot deny the delicious authentic mexican cuisine. The chips and salsa are sooo goood as well as other great dishes. I go here all the time, I love the atmosphere.
