User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI have had to go there twice this week. Both times were unpleasant experiences. The men were rude at the rental department. The first time I asked for a part, the man brought one to me..I told him it wasn't right size -he insisted over and over it was a standard part and it would fit, to the point tht I felt intimidated, thought perhaps I was mistaken and I bought it. It was not the right part. I drove elsewhere (Oneonta)to get the correct part because I didn't want to deal with the same man again since he was rude. The next day, I made another trip to Afton to return it. I brought my receipt and debit card for them to credit back the purchase and this man wouldn't credit it back on my card. He wanted to give me cash and he told me to just go to the bank and put the payment back on the card myself-because it cost them money to credit the card back. This man then realized I was purchasing another part I needed and he didn't want to charge that on my debit card either as he said it would again cost them too much. He wanted me to pay the difference of the two parts. I didn't bring cash. When I told him I didn't have cash he just looked at me and rudely said "You have got to be kiddin!" The store accepts credit cards yet refused to do this for a $7 item-which incidentally was the cost of the first item purchased and charged. The gas and time wasted just because the first man wouldn't listen when I told him it was the wrong part is ridiculuous. Additionally, if you purchase with a card, it is supposed to be credited back on the card. The man rudely told me to just take the part - they would eat the difference. This place is most difficult. I would avoid this store if you are a woman-the men treat you awlful there! It is well worth the time to drive somewhere else where proper manners are a part of 'customer service' and one is treated with respect and not talked down to. 8/15/2009
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsIf you need it...they have it!!!. Very comparable value and quality to the big chain stores!! If not better!!! You can't beat the variety of items..nothing like it in this area. Love this store!!!!!!!!!
