Barnes Flowers

Barnes Flowers has served my floral needs for over five years. They all know me there because once a year I send a bouquet of roses to a beautiful Southern lady, whose name might be familiar to you. "Greta", as I call her, travels a lot in her line of work. One night she wasn't going to get her roses, because she had cancelled her appearance. Julie and Linda from Barnes not only got in touch with their TeleFlora contact in the intended city to cancel the flowers' delivery; they also suspended the mission until I could find another city that was in Greta's itinerary.

The one drawback for me at Barnes Flowers is the rather steep stairway. It's a very beautiful entrance, but I have neurological problems that make it hard for me to climb the stairs. I wish there were an alternate entrance of some kind.

In spite of that, I give Barnes a five-and-a-half star rating. Every time I go in, I'm treated like an old friend -- and that's very good.

Excellent service and ideas: We have chosen Linda at Barnes Flowers to handle the flowers for my wedding in September. From the moment that we walked into Barnes, she was friendly and so very helpful! We are not flower experts, so we came with some pictures of colors and shapes of bouquets that we liked, hoping she could help us out. She looked over the photos for a few minutes, asked some questions about other details of teh wedding, and then went over to her cooler. When she came back, she had an armful of gorgeous flowers, and proceeded to make them into a smaller-version bouquet right there. We got to see how the bridesmaids bouquets would be, the mens' boutenieres, etc. And she did not take advantage of our limited knowledge of flowers by choosing anything overly pricey, the prices were perfect. I'll write back after the wedding, but we expect that there will be no complaints! :)

wedding flowers: I was impressed with the service that was given at our home and the church by the owner/designer. The bouquets and arrangements were stunning and everything we expected. I would recommend this shop to everyone.
