Since they've moved to their new location I've been there several times.
The first time the owner cut me a 2" think prime strip steak. It was excellent. Unfortunately they haven't had any prime meat every time I've been there since. Also, the service is inadequate most times. I ask for large cuts of steaks/chops and unless I'm talking to the owner the other salespeople give me a blank stare. They seem poorly informed about their products. I also get the feeling that waiting on me is a chore when all I'm asking is for them cut me a steak, like butchers are supposed to do, cut meat!
Also, I've purchased the chicken dinner twice. The first time the chicken was good, but I got the cornbread which tasted like soap. The next time I got the garlic biscuit which was great. It tasted like the biscuits from Red Lobster! The chicken though was very dry and shriveled.
I love steak and am still looking for a decent supplier in the immediate Batavia area. I can even handle the poor attitudes of the salespeople if the product is good enough. For now I guess I'm driving to Buffalo for Dash's for my steaks.
If you know a good local butcher please reply!

I strongly recommend Holley Farms/IGA in Alabama on 63 by the blinking light. the meat is amazing, and they have really good prices. i have never had a problem with the service, although occasionally there is a girl there who seems to give everyone the stinkeye. i've ordered meat over the phone and in person before and always been happy.
