Neptune's Gardens

I wanted to suprise my daughter with a kitten for her birthday and decided to check Neptune's Gardens. They had a few and i asked how much they cost. I knew my sister had paid $10.00 for hers and was alittle suprised when he told me $20.00 + tax. I asked why the price had gone up, and he replied, "we treat them for worms and ear mites now" (which should always have been done all along in my opinion) but thinking i wouldnt have to purchase the medicines i paid the 20.00 + tax, and took the kitten home. It's been about 3 weeks now, and our kitty is great. However I happened to notice this black gunky wax in her ears and being pretty familiar with cats I knew it was ear mites and a VERY severe case!! This kitten was never treated and the least this pet store could of done was tell the truth and not jeoparodize my cat's hearing and health for the rest of her life. Bad cases of ear mites can cost alot of money when left untreated and with my busy schedule, i rarely get to sit down and look her over.Its a good thing i noticed because it was starting to eat away the outside of her ear!!This pet store has been around so long i trusted their word, but now i'm very unhappy and think this is rude and neglectful. They should of been honest and took better care of their animals. My daughter's new kitten is an itching gooky mess right now and who knows how much i'll be spending at the vet's and spending cleaning kitty ears. It would of took a couple minutes of their time and a little honesty to prevent all this.
