I used to work at Pizza Village, and I know for a fact that the both the sauce and the dough are made fresh right in the place. The dough is an old family pastry recipe. The wing sauce is also made right in there. Everything they buy is of good quality. That being said, I am guarantee that you are going to get good food there. The pizza, wings and subs are among the best in the area. Once upon a time, Mary's Deli and Pizza Village were the two best in the whole area. At least in Dunkirk\Fredonia. Pizza Village was known for it's dough, and it's sweet sauce, while the more savory was found at Mary's Deli. Both are Giants in the taste department, and while both are pricey, you get what you pay for. As this review is for Pizza village, if you are needing to take a family out and have an awesome pizzeria dining experience out on the lake, you can rest assured, Pizza Village is the king. One of the best things about the place is it's location! The people are nice, and you can see the sailboats in the nearby docks. Also there is a piece of art, looking like a BIG native American face that is nearby, the artist that did this only did a few of these pieces, and it is a marvel of art, it is not too far away, just down the road in fact. If the weather is cruel out, then the place is cozy indeed, with televisions situated to keep you entertained or informed. Take it from a fat man, I know my food! Good eats!

I went in for slices at lunch, the owner said it would be just a minute, fresh slices were coming out. This made me very happy. The owner put them in a box, when I got outside and opened the box they were all stuck together. The manager lady was very nice and put the slices in a pizza box. Pizza was very good and I will be back, but maybe the owner should find something else to do.

We'd NEVER go back again!!!: I used to go there all the time 7 years ago. Hadn't gone in a while, but with it being so close to my house, I decided to take teen daughter there. THAT WAS A MAJOR MISTAKE!!!!! After trying what we ordered (think it was their new Calzones?? & wings), found that the calzone was WAY---undercooked & what they put in it tasted NASTY--like NO other calzone I've EVER tasted!!! They REALLY don't know how to make them!!!! I took my VERY undercooked calzone to the owner & told him of the problems w/the calzone--He just put it back in the oven for a little bit. Then it was undercooked in the middle & dark on the outside!! YUCK!!! I still tried to eat it, as I was very hungry & was w/my daughter who didn't want embarrased...but I couldn't stomach it, it was the worst food I'd tasted in my life!!! They never even questioned, cared, & probably never even noticed that I didn't eat it. Not to mention that they got my daughter's wing order all wrong, delivered the wrong beverages (which by the way, they deliverd 'flat' pop), & they didn't bother to wait on us other than to give us our wrong beverages VERY LATE & a long while later--the yucky food--that was all messed up too!! I'll never go there again!!! All I can say good about the place, is that SOMETIMES (way less now than 5 years ago) you may be able get a good Party Pizza there IF you order it 'To Go'--for some reason they are usually better than their other pizzas, esp. the pizzas they serve to their customers that 'eat in' @ their restaurant. Anything eaten there for about 3 years now is VERY dissappointing. Oh, & NEVER get their wings--they cook then until thery are dry & stringy!! I'd suggest Domino's or Pizza Hut if you want dependably good pizza & or wings. And NO, I own or work for any pizza or restaurant. I just had to warn those looking for good food, & good service!!!
