Avanti Gourmet Pizza

My daughter, a Medina native,living in Iowa for the past 13 years, insists her first stop after arrival in either Buffalo or Rochester airport, is Avanti pizza.

I was driving from Buffalo up to Eastern Ontario on what was quite possibly the worst day of my life. I was taking a scenic route and found myself in Medina. I just wanted to grab a light lunch so I stopped into Avanti and ordered a Turkey sub. It was probably the simplist item on the menu, but it was honestly fabulous. After experiencing such a horrible weekend, Avanti brightened my day with a fantastic turkey sandwich (I ordered a "small" but it was huge, and the bread- the bread was perfect! I loved it.)

The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming and comforting- exactly what I needed. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was how clean and vibrant everything was. This restaurant was absolutely refreshing and I would love to go back and try some of their more gourmet selections.

If you are visiting the Niagara Falls/Buffalo area, this restaurant is definitely worth the 45 min drive.

We were served freshly baked bread the minute we were seated. We started our dinner with calamari to share. It was perfect; fresh and cooked right!

I ordered the linguine pescatore; the portions are generous but more importantly, the ingredients are fresh and the sauce is excellent. This is as good as if not better than what you get at higher end restaurants like the Il Fornaio chains. Especially if you consider the more than reasonable prices you are paying for. We also had pizza and the Tuscan pizza is a must-try. I cant wait to go back again.

i am a former employee of avanti's and believe me when they say avanti's pizza is very good they mean and u will enjoy the environment there
