| About: | When Carl and Clarice Burgwardt started collecting antique bicycles and bicycle memorabilia in the 1970s and 80s, they probably never dreamt that one day they would be the curators of the world's largest bicycle museum. More than 300 rare and one-of-a-kind bicycles, mainly classic American bikes, are on display at the museum which depicts over 150 years of bicycling history. Push-button speakers placed throughout the museum have recorded descriptions of the exhibits. Visitors can even mount a "high wheel" bike to see what it felt like to ride on. Special events and programs take place throughout the year. - Christine A. Smyczynski |
