I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food at the Buffalo Chop House. The decor in the restaurant is reminiscent of the late 1800s with plush seating draped in red satins. The paintings on the wall are also grand. I truly enjoyed the cheese and bread platter that was offered before the meal. The service was wonderful as well.

If you plan to go to the restaurant have at least $40-100 in your bank account so that you can truly enjoy the cuisine and wines they have to offer.
I would also recommend dressing appropiately, but they will not turn you away if you are wearing jeans as I was during my visit.

I don't know if the other review was for the Buffalo Chop House or The Buffalo House as they are two VERY different establishments.
B.C.H. is very upscale and expensive.
Buffalo House was VERY low key with typical buffalo fare- beef on weck, fingers, wings, soup of the day.
We stopped in on our way to the home show.
The food was very good with generous portions. I had the bleu cheese and bacon burger, which came with steak fries (I think it was $7.69). My husband got chicken fingers. My in-laws had the beef-on-weck, greek salad and beef barley soup. Lunch was quickly served.
They had only Guinness and Bass on tap.
The restaurant has an "old world" feel to it with dark wood and dim lighting.
The wait staff was friendly (although a bit slow, we were one of three tables), making sure that we had everything we needed.
We were all impressed with our meals and I would go back again for lunch/dinner.

My boyfriend and I went here on New Year's Eve as it was reccomended by some friends. We had reservations at 830 and didn't get seated until 9:25. The hostess's were so unprofessional, very young and more intrested in their cell phones then seating people. Keep in mind this is a VERY upscale place (our bill was 140 for 2 people). All the diners were wearing cocktail dresses and suits, but the hostess's looked like they had just got off work from their other job as a stripper. Boobs were everywhere, skirts were unbelievably short and skin tight. I was truly turned off. After we were seated and our waiter handed us our menus I was a little shocked at the fact that you had to pay for side dishes. I knew this was an upscale place and I had no issues paying $45 for my steak but I was hoping it would at least come with a salad or something- but EVERYTHING is extra. A salad will run you $10, sides are between $8 and $10 each, and lets not even go into what alcoholic drinks are (all bars are expensive this is out of control). Our waiter was very nice, professional, personable, and knowledgable and our food was expensive but absolutely excellent. I HIGHLY reccomend the asaragus. Overall this was good place to eat for a special occasion. Expect to pay high prices but be impressed.
