| About: | Since 1990 Mohawk Place has been known as one of Buffalo's premier live music clubs. Over the years it has hosted national acts, local live blues acts, as well as underground and independent bands. Actually, they welcome any music that is not mainstream, including indie rock, punk, avant garde, new wave and folk. In 2002, the venue went through a major expansion to allow for a bigger stage and seating for 300. They host a Friday-night happy hour featuring local blues bands. |

Mohawk Place is great. I have seen more great small concerts there for a reasonable price, swill from the well stocked bar filled with my favorite cheap canned beer, or the finer drafts while not feeling like you're on American Idol like all the other fashion show bars on Chipp. Keep up the great lineup & venue.
Perhaps one of the greatest dive bars in Buffalo. Great staff and great drink specials. You come here to meet with your friends, watch a show, or just drink thats it. Its how all bars should be.
Buffalo's cbgb's: The Mohawk is the best music club in Buffalo. That is all it is! Its a place to have a drink while you watch a band play. Its a place to discover people who love to play music. Everyone is friendly and no one is uptight. The bar is straight out of 1940. No tv no pool tables. When you walk in you get the feeling of history. You get the feeling like great times have been had there. If you go there thank Pete the owner and the bar tenders because if it weren't for them buffalo wouldn't have a soul.
