If your looking for something mind blowing......skip this one. It's cool to kill a few hours and do something inexpensive with the kids. But the staff was hard to find and there wasn't really anything interactive (besides the kids area) it's mostly just rocks & minerals and a few dinosaurs. I wasn't that impressed.Erie doesn't have a huge amount of stuff to do, but I think our museum & children's museum blows this one out of the water.
Worst Museum I've ever visited: This museum is a joke! the exhibits are outdated, and the place is a mess. As soon as you walk in the front door, you realize this place is messed up, when you have to take a walk upstairs to purchase your admission tickets. We were greeted at the front door by security guards...very nice welcome folks! I think there is about 20 minutes worth of entertainment at the museum of science at best. The concession area is also very discusting, there are a couple of vending machines where you can get chips and pop, but guess what we saw??? A rat running around! This has to be some sort of health code violation. I may be calling the department of health. Also, if you do go to the museum of science, lock your car doors, this place is in the WORST neighborhood in Buffalo. I would not go after dark, it was scary at 1 in the afternoon. Perhaps you should bring a can of mace with you if you choose to visit this joke of a museum.
do yourself a favor, DON'T GO TO THE BUFFALO MUSEUM OF SCIENCE!!!!!!!

While I agree this museum is lacking quite a bit, this review was obviously written by a person who must live in a perfect little world. If you knew anything about Buffalo you would know this is not the worst neighborhood in the city. Maybe if you lived a day in the city your down talking you would know that. You must assume everybody that resides in Buffalo wants to rob you, well they don't. So good job with the off topic review. Good day, sir. HOPE THIS HELPED!!!!!!
