In the fall season of my senior year i would have considered myself just an average rower on the team.I trained with kc's fitness twice a week for six weeks between my fall season of rowing and winter training. All of the other athletes on the team trained through the off season also, but through other means. When winter training rolled around my times had droped dramatically from what they were in the fall. Everyone else on the teams times went up five or ten or more seconds. The benefits of the training i did with kc's fitness showed immediatly in not only my conditioning but also my technique. Though the training i gained a much greater understanding of how to move my body in a much more effective and efficient way.
The training was not only effective and highly challenging but it was also interesting and fun. It was in no way average and I would recommend kevin to any athlete looking to improve their proformance in any sport.
KC's Fitness is more than a gym, it's a community. I was embarassed that I was so out of shape when I first entered KC's 7 or so years ago now. Kevin and his staff made me feel right at home from the start and soon had me discovering my inner athlete! Who would have thougtht? I had visited a few other gyms over the years but was not inspired until I started personal training at KC's. Kevin and all the trainers really encouraged me to have confidence in my strengths and fun while we work out. With a focus on breathing, balance, relaxation and proper alignment I was able to surpass my fitness goals!
The most rewarding training for me has been learning to box! I used to watch the women and men in the boxing classes and think that I could never do that. But Kevin and the other boxers helped me, like they help everyone, to learn the basics and grow from there. Coming from an Aikido style they taught me that my best punches and kicks happen when I am most relaxed. It is such a joy to learn a totally new skill from scratch.
I have to mention the recommended nutrition program. It has made all the difference and I was able to get into the best shape of my life - at 40!

8 years and going strong!!!: Been to Bally's, The Aquatic Center, among a few other places, but it wasn't until "The KC Experience" that I realized what I was missing! The quality of the workouts are as good as the quality of the people! I cannot think of a better place to be. I have attended the 6 pm "boxer's workout" classes for years, though lately, I've been lifting weights in the morning. The classes are intense and educational, but the atmosphere is relaxed, thanks to the quality of my fellow members. If you are looking for a place to turn your brain off and grunt through a mechanical workout, then this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a mind and body fitness enhancement, then look no further. Try it once. You may be onto a life changing experience.
