I was trying to save a few bucks and should have spent the extra 20. The decor was awful, which to me isn't that big a deal. But the beds felt about 40 years old and the pillows were lumpy. There were no irons in the room and I had to go down to the dingy moldy basement to iron my shirt. The coffee maker lid was missing and the ice machine was broken. I had no control over the room temperature. Their were stains on the carpet and the hallway smelled. The breakfast consisted of the cheapest pastries and bruised fruit. There were a few redeeming things about this hotel. The wi fi worked. They allow pets and don't charge for that, and many hotels try to rip you off by charging 20-40 a night (though I was advised not to leave the dog alone in the room). The staff was friendly. And the shower was clean and the water pressure was great. So I would say good for a place that you want a good, clean shower. Terrible if you want a good night's sleep.
