User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsApplebee's doesn't know barbeque: I have been to several Rochester area Applebee's and tried to satisfy my craving for good barbeque ribs. When ordering the last time I asked the server if these are prepared fresh or precooked and then reheated when ordered. It turns out the later is true. Management claims that the county health dept requires them to be prepared this way. Curious to me, in that Sticky Lips, Famous Dave's, or Dinosaur BBQ don't have the same requirement.....and you can taste the difference. Applebee's has a distinct problem since they are not kept in air tight containers that won't absorb odors and tastes from foods and chemicals used to clean the refrigeration equipment.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsCar side to go: I've used the Carside To Go service only 3 times, but have been very impressed each time. I call in my order, they give me the price & the time to pick up (which has always been within 20 minutes), I drive up and park and they bring out my order. What I think impressed me the most was the way the meal was presented...the containers kept everything seperate and fresh. It was just like eating in the restaurant but at home. Sometimes eating at home is just better...for a number of reasons. The servers who bring the food to you can take cash, credit or debit and always have change if needed. I say "Hats off to Applebee's" I think it's a great idea and I have thourougly enjoyed it.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsEatin' Good in The Neighborhood!: Applebee's is such a great family hangout restaurant! It has great food, and fun for the kids! When I go there I always order the oriental chicken wrap! Yum! I definitley recommend it! Applebee's is a great restaurant for just about anything. I promise you, if you eat there, you WON'T go home hungry, or dissatisfied!
