I was in Palmyra in the summer of '87 & I STILL remember Nima's Pizza. Being that I live near Disneyland, CA, it's kinda impossible to get to Nima's now, but Oh how I'd love to taste one of their pies again. I don't know how it is now, but back then, it was a hole in the wall with just a counter for take out. I remember sitting outside the restaurant, eating the best pizza I'd ever had. I remember them telling us that the sauce & all produce came from the owners garden. I've never had anything like it since.
I was at a job fair in Palmyra one day and was looking for a quick lunch, Nima's was the spot. The pizza was superb!!!! It was the closest thing I've had to NYC style pizza in upstate NY. Ever since then, I actually travel to Palmyra from Canandaigua a couple times a month to get take out for my family. Not only is the pizza awesome but the subs are great too. You can tell this place is owned by real Italians. Thanks Nima's for always hitting the spot!!!!!!
I have recently moved to the east side (3 years) and began a new job in Marion (8 months). I have been in search of a good pizza, something that may compare to the pizza of the west side. Well... I'm still searching. Nima's pizza is paper thin and lacks flavor of any kind. I ate 4 slices and still felt as if I didnât eat. You're better off going to the supermarket and grabbing a frozen pie.
