We were very disappointed the last time we went there. The food was blend and the chicken used for the salad consisted almost solely of nerves. We ordered pasta for the kids since they didn't have many kid-friendly dishes and it was basically cold, sticky pasta with unmelted cheese on top - the kids didn't even touch it. It was not worth the money.
Excellent place to eat! The food is always fresh and delicious. They have the best chicken appetizers and pitas.
I've been to this Aladdin's many, many times over the years and I've never been disappointed. I must admit that I always order the same thing, since I love it; the vegetarian sampler. The food is delicious, the servings are generous and the price is a bargain. Their desserts are sinfully-good and beautiful to even look at. Service is good, although it can be less-than-attentive during peak times. Also during peak times, there's usually a wait of about ten minutes for a table (I noticed that the last person mentioned making reservations, but my understanding is that Aladdin's does not take reservations). It's fun to sit in the open-air section during warm-weather months, and otherwise I always hope for a window table; the view of the (Erie) Canal is peaceful and it's very pleasant to watch boats pass & people strolling. This location is a *huge* contrast to the Monroe Avenue one (I've posted separately about the really miserable service and management there). It's no surprise that the Pittsford location is a lot more popular, although probably the lovely physical setting has something to do with that.
