Dogs in MT Hope Cemetery: I thought the area was well kept. i walk threw the cemetary often atleast once a week. I have Never seen a dog that was not under control, and to see the playful life of a dog in a cemetary of such history is welcoming. It brings life to a place of rest. and most of all a tranquil and peaceful place of rest/with people walking their dogs of couse as well as people riding thier bikes.

Not a CEMETERY but a STATE PARK: I have a family member buried at this cemetery. Every time I visit this family member there are dogs unleashed running all over gravesites. This is utterly disgusting and disrespectful to those families and their deceased loved one(s). How people find it appropriate to walk their dogs leashed or unleashed over others graves sites or in a cemetery AT ALL disgusts me. These people need to ask themselves if their loved one was laid to rest here would they want it to be a dog park? Now there are individuals cross-country skiing here. This is a disgrace and I only hope that policies are put in place and ENFORCED ASAP. For those individuals who use this cemetery as a park please ask yourself if you think this is appropriate when there are numerous parks in the area. As a dog owner myself I know there are many other parks in the area. Please have some respect for the families who have a loved one laid to rest at Mt Hope. MANAGEMENT please set and enforce policies with signage

I am sorry that you do not understand, but this cemetery was dedicated on ocober 3, 1837 by the City of Rochester to be used as a cemetery AND a park to be enjoyed by the public. It is sad that you cannot enoy the PARK as others do.
