1st Experience Bad Experience: I got my very first car from Holtz. Desided to lease a brand new 2004 Civic, with no miles on it. After the 2 week I had to take it in because something was making noise. To make a long stori short with in 1 year I had atleast made visits for the batterie, alternater, and the brakes. I spent more time pissed about the car. When I bugged them to give me another car they wanted more money, because of the lease. I will never get another car from them again. It was the worst 1st car experiance I had.

Buying a car the "old school" way: Rememeber the days when the salesperson held onto your keys after checking your trade in - wouldn't let you leave the showroom without making a deal and the classic back and forth with the sales manager? This was the experience at John Holtz Honda and then some. The worst experience trying to but a car in my life - drove all the way to Syracuse to make another deal and had a great experience - was it the salesman and not the dealership ?- I'll never know - I wasn't allowed to talk to the sales manager - I was told "he's a very busy man" - I asked, "Is he too busy to talk to a customer?" Since he never called back - I guess the answer was yes. My advice is to avoid the business but if you do go and start to see signs of the old school - run for the exit - but be prepared - if you have the salesperson I had - he'll be chasing you and calling out "Just wait - one second . . ."
