    Every time my boyfriend and I travel to Portville, NY from DC, I make him take me to Sprague's for breakfast. From the time you drive to the farm and see the lake, wood carvings, trails (and a lot of other stuff) to the time you make it to the restaurant, it makes you desperate to have a taste of their food! I HIGHLY suggest you try their deep fried french toast. You will love it! Their Buckwheat-Maple pancakes are my favorites. Eat them with some Maple Syrup and you will feel like you are in heaven! Go ahead and ask to eat anything you want because once you have it, you will try to make a few more trips during the year just to have a taste of Sprague's food. I purchased 2 - 12oz bottles of Maple syrup to send to my mom in Puerto Rico (they sell maple stuff there but nothing like Sprague's). I also purchased 3 bags of pancake mix: Buckwheat Maple, Pumpkin and Apple and Cinnamon. Those are destined to come with me to Florida for a nice Thanksgiving day breakfast this 2009! I will bring a little Sprague's to my family's table that day! I could keep on going about how good this place is but I will stop now, lol! Go head, try their products or eat there! You will NOT REGRET it! Thank you Sprague's for serving GREAT FOOD! Keep up the great work!

    Sprague's has good food ,and great atomosphere that's for sure. Reviews I have read don't say anything about all the extras you will find. Extras like swans swimming on the lake out front,life size cravings of bear and work horses,the sugarbush on the hill that you can visit, trails that you can walk on in the woods,live reindeer at Christmastime. This really is much more than a great place to eat!!!

    Unbelievable resturant. Whenever my family and I make the trip to NY from OH we have to go there. breakfast all day every day. All you can eat pancakes if you order atleast one pancake. And the maple syrup,what can I say....better than anystore bought syrup. I make any of my family bring me some down when they come to visit me.
