Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: The ticket prices, yes, are high, but they are not set by Carmike. All proceeds go back to the movie. NOT to Carmike. The ONLY profit Carmike makes is from its concession stand; the reason for the prices being so high. So if you want a movie theatre in your town.. you are going to have to buy snacks and such. If you dont want to.. dont go, but that will only result in a closed movie theatre. As for the cleaning, Ive never seen it THAT bad in there, but, how are they suppose to hire a cleaning or maintenance crew when all their profits are getting spent at Walmart on THOSE snacks? For what it is, I think Carmike is a great place to go see a movie.

Movies: ok, first off, its not 7.75 for an adult. they charge 9 friggin dollars for a show. secondly, everything all of the other people before me have said is true. they dont clean the place beyond the obvious bag of popcorn laying in the middle of the floor and they charge out the ass for food. if i remember right its nearly 6 bucks for a larg soda and 4 something(almost 5) for a medium and a little snack bad of candy is 3.25. basically, you're better off going to the walmart next door and smuggling in your own food. trust me, you'll save about 10 bucks.
