The space is small, but they offer a large and diverse selection of wonderful items in an organized and user-friendly environment. A charming couple runs the place, it's simply a pleasure to shop there. An absolute must for those who appreciate all things fresh, local and sustainable.

yes. exactly as described above. the owners are wonderful; the kind of "down-homey" store that every little hamlet like Alfred needs(and the big cities do, too!)
I have to agree with the above post. Whenever I visit Alfred, I make sure to visit "Kinfolk" for the best produce to be found. Also the owners and staff are very friendly and helpful and make shopping a pleasant experience. I am looking forward to my next visit in a few weeks and will make "kinfolk" one of my first calls.
