The Seneca Nation, known as the Keepers of the Western Door, have two reservations located in Cattaraugus County: the Allegany Reservation, which includes the entire city of Salamanca, the only US city located entirely on a reservation; and the Cattaraugus Reservation in the northern portion of the county. Displays in the museum include clan animal displays, a partial longhouse, traditional crafts, like baskets and beadwork, modern Iroquois art, a children's discovery area and a gift shop with many handmade items and artwork. - Christine A.
