User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsOne of my favorite subs is made only here.: The subs are basic soft white french bread, mayo, vineager, salt, pepper, etc... My favorite sub, American Sub, is made there and is the only place that makes it anywhere. Every time I go back to Elmira, NY this is one of the places I stop at. They also make a very good hot roast beef sub, which at alot of other sub shops act like the concept is some new invention. The food is unique, but not strange.

You know what? The Southside Sub Shop subs could be better---if they were sold all over the US. These subs are fantastic. If I opened a shop in Northern California it would cause an earthquake outside the front door from the subchasers. The regular sub is outrageous (with sweet peppers) compared to any sub out here. The first place we eat when we are in Elmira! Great rolls, Doc!
