    I lived in southern California for many years. I now live in the Corning, NY area.I am a lover of various Mexican Cuisine. I dined at Garcia's today. I find that the food is fairly good compared to what I have had in the southwest. I feel the portions are much smaller than I am accustomed to. The cilantro salsa was very good the salsa that came with the tortilla chips was very good. The offering was a mild and a spicier cup of each. I ordered the Carne Asada plate. I asked that the Carne Asada be chopped. They did not chop it. I received 3 small flour tortillas that were in a warmer container. The rice & beans were comparable with what I expected. My wife ordered a combination plate of taco / enchilada.w/rice & beans. the taco was made from a "pre made" shell similar to what you buy in stores or get from Taco Bell. The contents of the taco were fine. She had expected the taco to be made with a home made shell. The enchilada was rather small and could have had more cheeses.

    Overall the dining experience was pleasant with authentic mexican music play at a level that complimented the dining experience. Service was fantastic. Waiting time for the meal was very short. Served hot on a hot plate. ( NOTE: Menu does advice that the plate will be hot when served.)

    For those who are not experienced with Mexican Cuisine, you'll find a good dining experience here. I have had various Mexican Cuisine such as Sonoran, Chihuahuan, Baja. also have experienced many other Cuisines from various Mexican States.

    I inquired about the origins of the proprietor and as told he was from Elmira area. This I do not believe. But I will find the origins of this fine Mexican restaurant. I would consider this establishment worty of future dining options.

    Dude from Cali is whack. The food is authentic Mexican style food, not Tex-Mex or Cali-Mex. I've eaten in Mexico several times and this is just like the delicious food I've had there. Garcia's staff and service are unsurpassed! A Must Try!!!

    Wonderful Mexican Cuisine: My girlfriends and I try to go to Garcia's once a month for our Mexican fix! It is a wonderful place to eat and the service is fast and pleasant!
