Some things you should know about NDHS: As a fairly recent graduate of Notre Dame Highschool, I would love to shed some light on what good old Notre Dame is all about. The biggest concerns when it comes to this highschool are one- their sports teams and two-the money that they can get no matter what it takes. This school cares nothing about education, as proven when I had to fight to get my transcripts sent to my college as I had a $127 balance on my bill (after my family sacrificed to pay thousands of dollars for the four years I went there, remind you), for a course that the participants were never warned that they would have to pay out of pocket for. I'd really like to thank Notre Dame for almost costing me my financial aid and Federal Stafford Loans over a $127 balance, I hope it was worth it. I also can not forget to mention the promissory note that I was expected to sign upon my graduation year, pledging to donate X amount of dollars to the school yearly after my graduation (which we were told that we really did need to sign and hand in). I was prepared for college, I came out as an intelligent, educated person but I do not accredit this to Notre Dame, I would have done well anywhere, my friends from other schools are doing just as well and didn't foot the bill that I did. Actually, there is a certain tutor that was used by many Notre Dame students (who worked at Southside HS) because our Chemistry department could not adequately prepare its students for the chemistry regentâs exam. It's sad that they were paying extra for a teacher from Southside, which is supposed to be such a horrible school, when they were already shelling out money for yearly tuition. In short, this school is not nearly what it is cracked up to be, besides the friends that I made, I had a horrible four years there and if I could do it over again I would have never wasted my family's money. I will never consider sending my children there, and would never advise anyone else to do so. I have heard many successful people that have attended Notre Dame say the same thing, but of course, they are not glorified in the nice Notre Dame newsletters that are sent out. So I hope that whoever reads this review takes it for what it's worth, sometimes you have to find these things out for yourself. Furthermore, I really would not bother replying to this review as my views are unchanging, and it's about time that someone told the truth about this "wonderful" establishment. By the way, there is a reason why their enrollment status is declining more and more every year.
yeaaaa notre dame: we love it and we hate it..all at the same time. but none of us would rather go anywhere else.
